Video: hearing aids help to keep your brain fit

The Eriksholm Research Centre have shared this short but interesting video featuring Professor Hélène Amieva, a leading researcher in the Neuropsychology and Epidemiology of Aging at the University of Bordeaux, France, who discusses her 25 year study that shows that hearing aids reduce the risk of cognitive decline in older adults. It is well documented that untreated hearing conditions can lead to an increase in anxiety, stress, depression, poorer communication and eventual isolation. Hearing aids used as part of a individualised treatment plan can help to manage the negative effects of hearing loss and reduce accelerated cognitive decline![KGVID]https://www.cubex.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/hearing-aids-help-keep-your-brain-fit-video.mp4[/KGVID]
